Key Stage 1 Visits

Our workshops are not your average "Animal Man" visits. Not only do we provide hands-on animal handling experiences for every child in the class, but we also provide educational activities that are tailored to the age of the children and the specific topic they're currently working on.

See below for our range of Workshop Topics. Visits can be tailored to one specific topic or a selection:

Classifications - identify and learn the differences between fish, amphibians, invertebrates, reptiles, mammals and birds. Compare real life examples of these animals up close.

Habitats - meet a range of animals from different habitats. Learn how they are adapted to those habitats and how their habitat provides everything they need to survive.

Pet Care - learn how to carry out health checks, enclosure design and diet preparation for a variety of different pets. Some common pets and some not so common!

Food Chains - create links between the animals and learn what each animal requires to survive. Explore basic predator prey relationships with the real life animals in the room.

Mini Beasts - meet a variety of invertebrates. Some with many legs, some with none. Each invertebrate plays an important part in ecosystems and food chains.

All students can safely meet and hold reptiles, invertebrates, exotic mammals, domestic mammals and birds with the assistance of our experienced Animal Handlers.

All of our Animal Handlers are highly qualified, experienced and DBS checked. Up-to-date Risk Assessments, copies of our Insurance and Licence paperwork can be requested for every visit.

Book with confidence knowing that we are a regulated and approved company with many years of experience carrying out educational visits with children. Licenced by Cannock Chase District Council.
